Calaway!

We went to Calaway a couple of days ago with Ryan's brother's family. The kids had so much fun and it was the perfect day. Ty and McKenna were very brave and went on all the rides that they were big enough to ride. Nate was a little more particular. He only liked the rides that went around in a circle slowly. None that went too fast or went up and down. Ryan and I even got to go on a few "bigger rides". It was a great day!

Waterton!

We've spent a lot of time in Waterton this summer. A couple of times with the Olsen family, a full day with the Malacko family, and we even took our little family camping with my grandparents trailer. We hiked to Crandall, Blakiston Falls, up Red Rock Canyon, half way up Bertha Falls, had many picnics, wiener roasts, threw rocks in the water, ate lots of ice cream, and spent many hours at the park! We sure love it there!

News!

My Dad is engaged! He's been dating Penny for a few months now and officially got engaged a couple of weeks ago. Many thoughts and emotions run through me, but ultimately I am happy for him and am looking forward go getting to know Penny better. The plan is for a wedding next summer. Congrats you two!

10 Years ago...

I stepped out of high school and said hello to a new world. A world of new friends, new opportunities, and new hopes and dreams! I remember feeling excited and free, and nervous at the same time. It has been a great journey to where I am now. Looking back I can't believe I actually got all the things I wanted in the 10 years I've been an "adult". I couldn't ask for a better life! And although I'm someone who loves moving forward, making new goals and discovering new dreams, once in a while it is fun to look back.

I decided that if I was really going to do this high school 10 year reunion thing that I wanted to be a part of the planning so that I was guaranteed that it would be a good time. So, a handful of us churchill alumni got together and started the planning. It was so fun to hang out with old friends and make a few new one's. Everything came together beautifully and even though the planning was quite stressful at times, the party turned out great! I honestly had so much fun and left feeling like I was 18 again! To all those who were a huge part of my growing up years and those who supported and came out to our party and had a good time, I thank you! It was good to see you, and best of luck in the next 10 years! Wow. 10 years seems so far away!

Sister Shoot!

My bestest friend in the whole wide world is an extremely talented photographer. Her work is amazing and she has this special way of connecting with the people she is shooting (with her camera...lol), and is able to capture them as themselves. For a girl's night out last week I went out and did a sister's photo shoot with my older sister Ginger and sister in-law Britteni. We had so much fun! and after the shoot we went back to Ginger and Devon's for snacks and lots of girl talk. I am so lucky to have such amazing sister-friends (as Devon calls it!). Thanks girls for your example and support over the years! You have truly blessed my life! I love ya'll! (just for Britteni).

Canada Day!

Raymond Parade, lots of food, fun and sun at my Grandma's in Raymond. A little water balloon volleyball, visiting, rock band, pool, and kids, kids everywhere! What a day!

Happy Father's Day!

Right before I met Ryan I was at a really good place in my life spiritually, but had pretty much given up on guys. I had a few bad experiences with some guys really not treating me very well just within a few months, and was pretty much sick of it. So I was really trying to focus hard on my schoolwork and church calling. When one of my best guy friends wanted to set Ryan and I up on a date I just kind of shrugged and thought ya, I'll go on a date, really not expecting much or even caring that much. The people who knew him all kept saying he's just a really nice guy...so in my head I was thinking oh he's not that attractive, just a really nice guy. I was out at a friends who went to school with Ryan so I looked him up in her year book not knowing that there are two Ryan Olsen's, and looking at the wrong one, thought oh, ya he's kind of nerdy looking but I'm sure he's nice and I'll have a fun time. Well when I met him I was very surprised because he looked nothing like his photo! It wasn't until we had been dating for a few weeks that I realized my mistake! Anyway, from the very beginning I just felt so comfortable around Ryan and everything just felt so right. The last few guys I dated made me feel really bad about myself so it was so nice to be around Ryan who made me feel good about who I was right then and not who I maybe could be one day.

6 years later and I still can't believe how perfect he is for me! He still makes me feel like the best person in the world! He's helpful and patient, and the best Daddy to his children! And he's still pretty darn handsome!
