Easter Weekend

On Friday we went out to my Grandma Shurtz's with all my cousin's and their families. We always have so much fun visiting and the kids love playing with all their cousin's. We are so grateful to have so much family living close by. We colored eggs, and then a couple of the Father's and older cousin's hid all the eggs in the backyard for the kiddies to find. After that we just snacked and visited while the kids played. I rarely see my kids when we are there. They are so busy playing. Hayley was so happy all day too. She just crawled around and explored Grandma's house and didn't play shy with anyone. Ryan was at home sick so he missed all the fun. We had a really nice day. I only got one pic of the boys decorating eggs...

Saturday morning the Easter bunny came. He usually leaves a trail of chocolates leading the kids to their easter buckets. The kids were excited and loved getting their treats. Then we had my nephew Ben's baptism later that morning. It was such a nice baptism and Ben looked so grown up and handsome. We are so proud of him. Nate and Ben are best little friends and I really hope they will stay close forever. After the baptism we went out to Roy and Connie's to visit for a few hours.

Out at the farm Nate was eating an apple and Hayley followed him around begging for bites! It was so cute and funny!

Sunday we went to church. Easter Sunday is always awesome and I love talking about our Saviour and his Atonement. The spirit is always so strong. I taught the YW lesson and it went really well. We have a really good group of girls. After church my family all came over for dinner and Devon made a delicious potato soup and we had brownies for dessert. We had a nice visit and really enjoy spending time with our families. 

I am extremely grateful for my Saviour! The last few years have been really tough with losing my Mom, battling some depression, and having 4 little one's to raise. My Saviour has always been there for me and has helped me find peace and love in those hard moments. I am grateful that he died for me so that I could return to my Momma and Heavenly Father and Saviour again one day... And be with my family forever. What an amazing gift!

April

We are so excited that its April! I love April. This is a very busy month for us. Lots of things to look forward to, which hopefully means a lot of blog posts! This weekend we went out to the farm to watch conference with Ryan's parents. Ryan really enjoys going to the Priesthood session with his Dad and brother. And we get to hang out with Connie, and Jacki and the kids while their gone. We had a great weekend, and the kids even got to play outside.

Conference was amazing as usual and I'm feeling inspired and pumped to work harder and be a better person. The boys were excellent listeners and sat very well. McKenna did alright too. Hayley was the best and slept through most of each session. What an angel! It was a fabulous weekend!

Adventurous

Now that this little girl is crawling, she is getting quite adventurous and has been exploring every nook and cranny in our home...

I am so proud of this little girl. Crawling is such a big step in her development and I love seeing her explore and learn about the world around her. I can't believe she is getting so big!

7 months

Hayley bean is 7 months old. She is:

Eating solids better. She's still not too in to them though, but she'll at least open her mouth now.

Sleeps through the night around 4 out of the 7 nights in a week. If she gets up, she eats and goes right back to sleep.

Is having two regular naps usually around 2 hours each everyday. All I have to do is lay her in her crib with her soother and she goes right to sleep.

She's making lots of fun noises and is starting to say dada.

Loves playing with toys.

Still loves watching her brothers and sister play, but really loves it when they play with her. They can usually get her laughing really good.

She loves bath time. She'll just sit there splashing.

She loves being sung to. Her favorites are popcorn popping, I'm so glad when Daddy comes home, mm mmm went the little green frog, and Adele's Someone like you!

She's crawling! Very slowly right now, but she can move forward.

Is getting so big, and is so much fun! We sure love her and I wish she could stay this little forever. She's so sweet and precious. Devon was able to take some pics this past weekend of the little girl and she didn't disappoint.

Isn't she just gorgeous! 

Tummy time

This little girl is starting to get on her hands and knee's and rock, and once in awhile she'll try and move forward. I think she will be crawling soon!

She also really loves the Ipad. She's always trying to get her hands on it.
