Temple Talks.

Ty said his first talk last Sunday. He did a great job! He spoke loud and clear, and looked so darn handsome standing at the pulpit in the Primary room. He spoke on Temple's. Here are his wise words...

This is the Cardston Temple. My Dad and Mom were married there so that our family could be together forever.

I love my family. We have so much fun together. It makes me so happy that I can be with them forever.

My Grandparents live in Cardston. Whenever we drive to their house, I love to look for the temple cause its so beautiful and reminds me of how special my family is.

In the bible it says: “Our homes can be as sacred as the Temple.”

I can make my home more holy by: listening to my Mom and Dad, playing nicely with Nate and McKenna, and helping my family when they need it.

Then we can be closer as a family.

Maybe you can do that too!

The summer is half over, and will be ending soon. My Mom reads me the friend, and Matt and Mandy say that the best things never end!

Because we have Temples, I will always be with my family! I am grateful for that!

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

After he spoke, he got to pick the name out of a little container of the next person to speak...well, of course he picks out Nate's name. So another talk on Temple's it is! Nate will be giving his talk today. I am at home with the pregnancy blue's, so will miss him speaking. He practiced it a lot for me. I think he will do a good job! Here are his wise words:

Last Fall I started Kindergarten. I learned a lot of cool things and made lots of special friends. It’s important to have good friends. I would like to tell you about the very first special friend I ever had. This person became my friend on the very day that I was born. The first night my Mom and Dad brought me home my friend came over and rocked me, cuddled me, and took care of me all night because my mom was really tired. That night my friend and I were bonded in a very special way. The next few years I spent a lot of time with my special friend. Sleepovers, walks, I would help her bake, and we laughed and played together. She was my best friend. My special friend is my Grandma Kim. When I was just three years old my Grandma Kim got really sick. So sick that Heavenly Father thought that she would be happier in Heaven with him. I had to say goodbye to her. Because she went to live in Heaven with Jesus, I don’t get to see her anymore. Sometimes this makes me sad. But there’s another reason my friend is so special. When she lived on Earth she went to the temple, just like my Dad and Mom go to the temple. That means we’re all sealed together, and I will get to laugh and play with my Grandma Kim again. This makes me very happy. President Hinckley said “The temple is a place of light, a place of peace, a place of love where we deal with the things of eternity.” I want to go to the temple some day so that I can feel peace and love, and feel close to my Grandma Kim. Even though I am young I can do things to prepare now. I can go to Primary, read the scriptures, say my prayers, and follow the commandments. If I do these things, one day I will be ready to go to the temple. I can’t wait! I am so grateful for temples!

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
