We finally made it to Waterton on Monday. And she didn't disappoint us. The weather was beautiful! We enjoyed a nice picnic at Red Rock Canyon, then played down in the canyon for a couple of hours. I sat on a rock feeling very uncomfortable. Then we went into town for some ice cream (the kids chose candy instead). We headed to the park where the kids had fun in the spray park and on the swings. I again sat uncomfortably on a rock and then a park bench. Then we walked down by the water and threw rocks in. Do I need to mention that I sat uncomfortably on the beach, and then a big rock. Then we headed to the Falls where we finished off our picnic lunch. Then Roy, Connie, Ryan and the kids walked up the trail that overlooks the waterfall and surprise, surprise, I sat uncomfortably on the bench and watched them! Then we headed back to the farm for bath's and a snack before we left for home. I have to say, Waterton obviously isn't the best when your a week away from your due date, and I was uncomfortable pretty much the whole day, but it was nice to be there instead of at home. It is so beautiful you can't help but feel happy, peaceful, and content. I was kinda hoping that I'd go into labor at Red Rock and my sister-in law (who's almost a nurse) could deliver the baby, and then we could use Red Rock in the middle name...but only kinda!
