Ty Matthew.

My Ty guy...

Is 5 years old!

I can't believe my beautiful, chubby little baby boy is all grown up. He is so much fun and makes us laugh all the time. I'm excited for him to start Kindergarten in the Fall and see what this little guy is going to offer the world. Happy Birthday Ty! We love you!

Woody's Round up.

Saturday we celebrated Ty's 4th Bday. I woke up that morning feeling relaxed, no stress, had no reason to rush around doing any last minute things. How is this possible you say...because I had to do absolutely NOTHING for this party but show up. My amazing friend Devon and sister Ginger did everything. The invites, the decorations, the cake, the food, the games, and the party favors. They did a fabulous job and we all had a fantastic time, especially Ty! Thanks girls! Your the bestest!

Ty!

For Nate's birthday I posted a few things from my journals about when I found out I was pregnant, being pregnant right before I delivered, and then right after I delivered, so I wanted to do the same for all my kids, but of course I'm not a perfect journal keeper so I don't have anything written about when I found out I was pregnant with Ty. So here's just a few things I remember:

As soon as Ryan and I agreed we were ready to start trying for another baby, boom, I was pregnant. We were so excited, and both wanted a boy so that Nate would have a brother. I remember being exhausted, and feeling yucky, but I didn't really throw up. I remember laying on the couch a lot for the first couple of months.

Jan. 16, 2007

Well yesterday was my due date yet Ty is still not in my arms. I should have known better. Now I'm just hoping I don't have to be induced! I'm hoping I go into labor before Friday. C'mon Ty, I know you want to come home! I'm so tired of being pregnant! I'm exhausted, uncomfortable, emotional, and I don't sleep at night. Every women should just have their baby on their due date. It would make life easier. But I guess life isn't supposed to be easy, only worth it!

Jan. 30, 2007

Well Ty has finally arrived! He was born Jan. 19th @ 3:14am. He weighed 7 pds 11 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches. I went from 6-10 cm dilated in 1/2 hr, so I wasn't able to get an epidural. Man, what a different experience! It was one of the hardest things I have ever done! But now we have Ty and he is so cute and precious. He has been a really good baby so far. He's even nursing! Although he'll only nurse on one breast! The little stinker! He's sleeping really good at night. He kind of had a rough start, mixing up days and nights but now he's on track. He usually sleeps 4 hours. I tore again so I've been really sore. Ry, Mom, and Devon have all spent a couple of days helping out because I could barely walk or sit at first. I'm doing much better now though. I know it will be hard sometimes. I'm lucky though because I have such good kids. Ty's getting blessed this Sunday. That will be exciting!

Happy 4th Birthday Ty! The 4 years I've spent with you could not have been any better! I love you lots and lots!

Cruising!

I'm usually one of those Mom's who doesn't want to be bothered by little voices when I'm driving. I like to turn my music on and just zone out and get where I need to go. Ty is my little chatterbox. He definitely loves to talk and will talk your ear off if you give him the chance. Of course this is no different when we get in the van. He try's to talk to me, and he's way in the back, and my music is on, and I'm usually singing, so yes as bad as it may seem, I tend to tell him I can't hear him and that we'll talk when we get where ever we're going. Today I actually turned my music off and we chatted all the way from Nate's school on the Northside to Superstore. At first we were talking about the season's and he wanted to know why Winter comes after Fall. So I told him that was the way Heavenly Father and Jesus wanted it to be.
Then he says "I love Jesus",

"I do too, bud",

"Jesus is so cuddly" Ha ha ha...I thought that was so great and very insightful. But then our conversation launched into this deep (well as deep as you can go with a three year old) about death, and the plan of salvation. The boys tend to ask lots of questions about this because we talk about my Mom a lot. It opens up a lot of great opportunities for us to talk about the gospel. I guess I need to turn my music off more often. What a perfect little moment that Ty and I shared this morning. I definitely felt my testimony grow an inch or two, and I hope his did too!

Poop and Pee!

We potty trained Ty back in October, and he caught on very fast and hardly had any accidents. He even sleeps with underwear on at night. Lately though he's been having a lot of accidents. I don't know if he's just getting lazy or what, but its driving me crazy! The other night we had my Brother, Sister in-law, and niece Bella over. The kids were playing down stairs when we heard Bella yelling "oh no, poop and pee, poop and pee" We all looked at each other and I just knew that Ty had pooped in his pants. Well, he had dressed himself and was wearing little pj shorts and apparently no underwear so the poop fell right on the floor. When Adam and Ryan went down both Bella and Ty had peed in their pants, Ty had pooped and Bella had stepped in it! Ha ha ha...I thought it was so funny, only because I didn't have to clean it up!

Car's and Hot wheels!

We had Ty's 3rd Bday party a couple of weeks ago. It was a Cars and Hot Wheels theme. It always seems like no one can make it to Nate's (usually cause of the weather) but then for Ty's everyone can come...and I mean everyone! We had a full house. We played some cars games, had a Lightening McQueen pinuata, opened presents and ate cupcakes with little lightening bolts on them. It was tons of fun and Ty loved playing with all of his cousins. We're so glad we had beautiful weather and everyone could make it! For months Ty has been asking if he could play on the computer like Nate does and we'd always tell him "when your three" cause it seemed so far away. Sure enough as soon as he blew out his candle's he said "now can I play on the computer". Darn it. they have such good memory's.

Ty guy!

This is a little late, but this little man is Three! I can't believe it!

Love you Ty!

Its Official...

My little Ty guy is potty trained! I wasn't really motivated to potty train Nate, and life was so busy when it was the perfect time to do it, so I held off a little too long and it was a disaster. I was determined to get it right with Ty, so I sent Ryan, Nate, and McKenna off to the farm for the weekend and Ty and I had a weekend of potty learning just the two of us. No distractions. It went really well, and after a couple of weeks with some accidents here and there, he got it! Now he does it all by himself without our help and is even sleeping the night in underwear. How nice it is only to have one little bum to change. I'm so proud of my big boy!

Look Who's Two!

Ty!

This is a little late. Ty, the one who...

love's to get into everything and keeps me on my toes

helps Mommy with the dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, baking, and pretty much anything else

has the cutest little cheeks that I want to squeeze and kiss everyday

loves to play with Nate and is getting quite the imagination

says so many words and phrases now that he still surprises me everyday with how big he is getting

throws the biggest tantrums I have ever seen...yet anyway

still loves his afternoon nap, but hates to go to sleep at night

loves his little sister and is always trying to help her (though I don't think she's too fond of the help)

makes me smile and laugh so much!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ty! I love every moment with you!

Big Bully!

I have a problem. My almost two year old son is a full on bully. If he feels threatened or wants something at nursery, he'll grab the other child by the hair or neck  and pulls them down to the ground. He hits, bites, and pushes. he is not like this at home with his siblings, just when we are around kids his own age. We say "NO", we give time-outs, and we teach him about being nice, but he is still the nursery bully. He throws the biggest tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants or gets frustrated. He screams, throws anything in sight, and bites the nearest thing to him. Where does this come from? On his behalf he is very good at saying sorry and giving hugs. Sometimes I think he hurts kids just so he can say sorry. He can be so sweet, loving and cuddly, and then...it can get pretty scary. I can't wait until he grows out of this one. I mean look at this kid, does he look capable of such things!

And then There was Four!

When Nate was just over a year Ryan and I decided it was time for another baby. As soon as we said it outloud I was pregnant! I thought 2 years was the perfect spacing between children. Ryan and I both wanted another boy so Nate could have a little brother. Again, we got what we wished for and Ty Matthew joined our family on January 19, 2007. He was bigger then Nate weighing 7'11 pds. He was my chubbiest baby (so far) and was also a happy baby, but would only sleep during the day if he was held. As soon as I would lay him down he would wake up. He is a very fun little guy and has so much peronality and charm! He already know's how to work a crowd! He rarely sits still and is into everything! I can't take my eyes off of him for a second. He has brought so much excitement to our family and has taught me (and is still teaching me) patience, patience, patience!
