I'm usually one of those Mom's who doesn't want to be bothered by little voices when I'm driving. I like to turn my music on and just zone out and get where I need to go. Ty is my little chatterbox. He definitely loves to talk and will talk your ear off if you give him the chance. Of course this is no different when we get in the van. He try's to talk to me, and he's way in the back, and my music is on, and I'm usually singing, so yes as bad as it may seem, I tend to tell him I can't hear him and that we'll talk when we get where ever we're going. Today I actually turned my music off and we chatted all the way from Nate's school on the Northside to Superstore. At first we were talking about the season's and he wanted to know why Winter comes after Fall. So I told him that was the way Heavenly Father and Jesus wanted it to be.
Then he says "I love Jesus",
"I do too, bud",
"Jesus is so cuddly" Ha ha ha...I thought that was so great and very insightful. But then our conversation launched into this deep (well as deep as you can go with a three year old) about death, and the plan of salvation. The boys tend to ask lots of questions about this because we talk about my Mom a lot. It opens up a lot of great opportunities for us to talk about the gospel. I guess I need to turn my music off more often. What a perfect little moment that Ty and I shared this morning. I definitely felt my testimony grow an inch or two, and I hope his did too!
