Christmas!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas eve we spent the day and evening with the Olsen's out at my in-laws farm. First up...Gingerbread houses! These houses were awesome because they were already put together. The kids just had to put the candy on! So easy.

The kids spent all afternoon outside. It was beautiful out! They rode the side by side and the snowmobile. They had so much fun! Ty coming in all tired out.

McKenna lookin all adorable!

Grandma and Grandpa do a fish pond with the kids. They fish for their gifts from them. The kids love it! Before we did the fish pond we had a fabulous turkey dinner! everything was delicious! I have to give a shout out to all the Olsen boys...and Jode, for cleaning up dinner! What a great bunch of guys!

Then we have our Christmas Program. Roy read from the bible, we sang songs, Jennica and Ben played their violin's, and the kids acted out the Nativity. Its always so nicely done! Ty and McKenna were our Mary and Joseph. McKenna took the job very seriously and sat so still and good the whole time.

Getting ready to open some gifts! We always get p.j's Christmas eve!

The kids in their new p.j's!

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning is so exciting and so special! I love the excitement as we all wake up and go down the stairs together to see if Santa came. When the kids see that he did, its so fun to watch their reactions! We always open our stockings first, then do our gift's to Jesus, and then open our gifts.

Around 11:00am my siblings arrived at our house and we ate a Pancake brunch. Then we did some Christmas singing and Ginger did a little lesson with the kids. We opened a few gifts from the cousin's and then just hung out and played with our new toys.

Around 4:00pm we headed out to my Grandma and Grandpa Shurtz's in Raymond where we eat snacky food and play games, and visit with all the cousin's. We put on a little nativity. Nate and Ty were wisemen, and McKenna was the Angel. We always have a great time and stay till late.

Boxing Day!

This year was our first to wake up on boxing day and head out to Okotoks to my Dad and Penny's house.

We did our Santa bags, and the kids opened their gifts from Grandpa and Penny! They were so spoiled. Then we went sledding by Grandpa's house, had another amazing turkey dinner and visited and played games all night!

We slept over and did some shopping the next day. Then back to Grandpa's for turkey buns and left overs, then we headed back home!

We had such a fantastic Christmas with all of our family! We feel so blessed and are so grateful for our Savior and all that he's done for us! Now for a couple of days of rest and getting organized until we celebrate the New Year!
