Friday morning we woke up early so we could get to Universal right when it opened. We arrived just shortly after 9:00am, there was a big rush of people so we had to walk really fast and zigzag through the crowd to get to the Harry Potter park, which was furthest away from the gate entrance. Someone I knew had gone the weekend before and warned me that the wait time for the Forbidden Journey ride which takes place in Hogwarts castle is usually the longest, so we knew to get there as soon as we could. There was a rush of people but we only had to wait about 25 minutes. The line went right into the castle, through Dumbledore's office, the dark arts room, and the gryffindor common room. It was so neat. They put so much detail into it. The ride was awesome! When we got out of the ride, the Harry Potter Park was BUSY and very crowded, so we decided to come back later on, and we went and checked out the rest of Island's of Adventure. We had so much fun and each theme park was so fun! They had a Jurassic Park area, toon town, Super hero Island, Suess Landing, The Lost Continent, and of course Harry Potter park. They were all unique, and we had so much fun! We were able to go on all the rides and only had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes for the rides.
After we went on all the rides and even caught a stunt show, the 8th voyage of Sinbad, we headed over to Universal Studio's. We went on a few rides there, and then headed back to Island's of Adventure to spend some more time at the Harry Potter Park. We got to the park just in time for supper, so we ate at the Three Broomsticks. The food was so delicious and the butter beer was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! It tasted exactly how I imagined it would. It tasted a lot like A&W cream soda, but a bit sweeter. It was fantastic! The lines for some of the shop's were shorter so we waited in line and went into Honeydukes (candy store) and got peppermint toads, chocolate frogs, and bertie botts every flavored beans to take home for family and friends, and some for ourselves. We went into Zonko's (joke shop), and Derves and Banges (clothing, wands, souveniers). It was so amazing to be there and see how much it was like the books and movies. I could have stayed there all night. But are feet were very sore and tired. It had been a long day so we headed home to bed.
