Family

Family really is the best thing ever. We are so grateful for both sides of our families, and I am so blessed with  amazing in-laws. This weekend was general conference. To learn more about it go here. I love listening to the prophet and apostles. I always feel so inspired and so grateful to know the truth of why we are here, and what we need to do to return to our Heavenly Father. It has been an overwhelming and exhausting couple of weeks and conference was the best way to unwind from that, and to have hope for better weeks ahead. We have a tradition of watching conference at my in-laws. The weather was beautiful (even though there was quite a bit of snow out there at the beginning of the day) the guys even tore apart the deck to get ready for some upcoming renovations my in-laws are doing. It was a lovely day!

On the way home (it was dark) Nate was nervous that we were going to get lost. He kept asking if we were lost. I'd say
"No, we know how to get home"
"Even in the dark"
"yes"

then he'd ask 10 minutes later
"is this the road we always drive on?"
"yes"
etc, etc.

We finally showed him the lights of Lethbridge in the distance so he could use it as a source of where we were going. That seemed to help.
